Welcome fellow Greek members,
It is an honor to be the President of Order of Omega on a campus where Greek life continues to grow and recognize outstanding Greek members. I joined the Greek community at Texas State University in the Spring of 2014 and have since pushed myself to become more involved in Greek life and on campus. The amazing opportunities for leadership in these organizations have led me to where I am today. In the time I have been in Order of Omega, I have learned what it takes to be a great Greek leader and hope to inspire others to become great leaders as well.
You may ask, what is Order of Omega? Here is my answer:
Order of Omega is the National Greek Honor Society that recognizes the outstanding top three percent of Greek Members on a local and national level. Through the application and selection process, our executive board will review your qualifications based on academics, leadership, and involvement both inside and outside of Greek Life. Our basic qualifications necessitate that a potential member must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, at least 60 completed credit hours, and Greek leadership involvement. I believe the role of Order of Omega is to reward those students who have put so much time and effort into their own academics and Greek organization by providing opportunities to further enhance skills most utilized after graduation. This organization will provide programming to encourage further growth as a future professional such as speakers and workshops. I hope that with some forethought, you will take the initiative to continue growing as a Greek leader by applying for this Honor Society so that you may be recognized for the great example you have set for those around you.
