Programming Board Applications

Applications are available now and due by 4:30pm on April 5th.

Interviews will begin on Monday, April 4th and all applicants must sign-up for an interview time upon submitting their application.


Requirements

  1. Full-time undergraduate student at Texas State University
  2. Have a 2.5 GPA from the Fall 2015 semester and a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  3. An active member in good standing with a recognized Greek organization belonging to one of the four Greek Governing Councils
  4. Not be on University disciplinary probation or deferred suspension
  5. Available for weekly meetings with the Assistant Dean of Students and Board meetings

Director Positions

The Leadership Development Director(s) oversees the coordination of a Greek community wide leadership retreat weekend including participant registration, facility usage and transportation; serve as the chief logistics person during the retreat experience weekend and coordinates the planning committee.  The Leadership Development Director also serves as the student advisor to the Emerging Leaders Academy (ELA).

The Bobcat Spirit Director(s) coordinates meetings of the Bobcat Spirit Committee which is responsible for programming related to the annual Greek Week celebrations and other community programs that reflect positively on the fraternity and sorority community showcasing school spirit and enthusiasm for Texas State University and its traditions in a professional manner.

The Community Service & Philanthropy Director(s) coordinate meetings of the community service & philanthropy committee; organizes the development and execution of fraternity and sorority community-wide events; collaborates with the Greek Governing Councils to support community service and philanthropic efforts of the councils; and communicates community service and philanthropic event opportunities with the fraternity and sorority chapters.

The Assistant Director of Marketing assist with all marketing and public relations associated tasks; such as but not limited to, social media posting, creation of newsletters, promoting of our sponsors, design of all merchandise and marketing material. Their duties play a major role in the Greek Affairs Programming Board of Directors’ appearance to the University and the San Marcos community.
